March 1st – Blogging Challenge

Well the Teachers at GIS are at it again, including me, with a month long blog challenge. I am not sure if I will complete them all but I will do as many as I can. Monday the first Amy challenged us to a March Makeover. The challenge is to make over a photo and post it. so here is my photo. I am sorry I did not do anything spectacular to the first only did an auto adjust because I like the photo as is. But I will play with it a little more and add again later. For the inquiring minds these are my Valentines gift from my wonderful sweet boy John!

Here is a very small adjustmant to the photo but very pretty. I used an artistic filter , pallet knife to be specific.

Here is what the same photo looks like with a texture filter. Stained Glass.

And here is a new kindergarten joke! Can’t forget those!

What do you get when you cross a centipede and a parrot?

A Walkie Talkie!

happy day all!

February Frumps

Well I am still here and so is the snow. We are getting in deeper it seems daily, and with the depth of the snow so do the frumps increase. What amazes me is the more I talk to others around me the more I discover I am in great company. Most of my friends are suffering from the same malady. What amazes me even more is that the more I talk about it the better I feel, so thanks all of you for sharing, you have lightened my load. With car issues, puking girls, and snow gallor I am ending the week with a smile on my face. And look who else is smiling! Aren’t they cute!?

Back with some pics

Here are some of the fun additions that Tania talks you through making! Paper piecing projects like the little monster on the above layout and beautiful layered flowers like the one on the layout below. I loved Tania’s class. It is one that I have printed and saved so I can go back to it for wonderful ideas.

The Cherry (Ice) on top

So I appreciate that we are only to late January but boy has it been a long winter. Mother nature decided to top us off this past week with a coat of ice. It covered everything from Tuesday night through today so we have had an interesting mix of no school, late days, and cable outages. Who knows or can even guess what is next?! We however are safe and warm and doing fine. I think we will all be more than ready fro spring!

The snow make up day count is up too 5! Yikes!
