We will then post a winner!!

For our hop I created a decorative piece for my counter using the Poinsettia Die cut! I die cut both the small and large flower portions out of red and white felt.

Then I cut small holes in the centers of all of them with a craft knife:

Next I found these small posts in the jewelry making aisle and stuck 4-5 in to each small bloom and added a dollop of hot glue on the back:

Next came the larger part of the bloom:

I trimmed of the excess wire and bent over the ends and used more hot glue to attach my Poinsettias onto my bucket:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this piece turned out! I am thinking teacher gifts!

Thanks for stopping by!

You have actually reached the end of our hop loop!

Your next stop in the hop is the Dare 2B Artzy blog!

We hope you are inspired all along the way!

Fabric Flowers with D2BA and Terial Magic

I have a post over at the Dare 2B Atzy blog today bringing you a little creative inspiration! I am in the mood for holiday goodness these days so I wanted to share one of my latest favs! BUT, before I do that a quick reminder that we have an awesome challenge going on (there is one every month you know ?) This month is all about Gratitude. Make sure to submit your work for a chance to win!

On to my new craze! I have been playing with fabric and die cuts. The Dare 2B Artzy Poinsettia die cuts work perfectly for the process. Here is one of the fabulous flowers I created:

So easy, I treated the fabric with a stabilizer then ran it through my die cut machine.

Terial Magic is a product carried by Imagination International and makes fabric feel and work just like paper!

I have been putting these lovelies on all sorts of projects but here is a SUPER SIMPLE card that a couple landed on:

Dare 2B Artzy has all sorts of beautiful dies to choose from and you can use them with the coordinating stamps on their own for a completely different look!

I also put these flowers together on some fun clips!

For today’s creation all I needed was the Poinsettia Die!

Fall Cards with Dare 2B Artzy

Off I go on another fun creating day. Fall cards on the menu and I need a few so I can give out a few Thank You in the next couple weeks. So keeping it simple and quick is the name of the game today. So right to the creating, first I stamped a full sheet with the Dare 2B Artzy Tangled Leaves set.

I airbrushed the entire background with 2 Copic colors. The second color I used the brush nib while Airbrushing to create the splatter effect.

Then it is color color color! Here are some shots of the different Copic colors I used on each of the different stamps on the page. Leaf 1:

Leaf 2:

Leaf 3:

Acorn:

Leaf 4:

I love how all of them turned out. (Beautiful stamps certainly are at the heart of the project) Next I trimmed the full sheet into 4 card fronts:

Added them to card bases and added a small twine detail on each:

Ready to share with friends. So grateful right now for Dare 2B Artzy and being part of the design team!

Have a Happy Colorful Week!

New Challenge over at Dare 2B Artzy – November Grateful

This month we are celebrating gratitude at Dare 2B Artzy! Create a piece signifying something or someone you are grateful.

Make sure to head over to the blog for all the rules and regulations so you can enter for a chance to win D2BA goodies! I know I would be grateful for those!

For a little inspiration I am sharing a gratitude journal I started last year and will be trying to continue this year as soon as UPS returns it to me. (GRUMBLE) I know not a very thankful attitude, I am a work in progress and I am working on re-focusing after a few bumps in my personal journey through life.

Here is a quick peak at what it looks like inside. I really was just attempting to write down one thing I am grateful for each day. Sometimes a single word or name other times a phrase or thought.

The outer cover is a recycled leather that I love the feel of, and the book I chose has graph paper inside so perfect for a little daily hand lettering practice. Which I also need to get back to…the list is long. I decided to take some old art work off the cover, you can still see the remains, but I am OK with that. I then stamped the cover with several stamps from the Tangle Leaves set from Dare 2B Artzy.

The Totally Black Premium Dye Ink worked incredibly well on the cover and turned out a rich black. I then colored the images with my Copics. I tested color first to find the colors I wanted to use:

Then started in on the leaves:

The colors blended extremely well on the unique surface and the Ink sat solid!

My journal needed a new look and the beautiful stamps from D2BA were absolutely perfect! Make sure to check in again on Thursday as I will be sharing some cards made with the same beautiful set!

As you begin your November begin to count your blessings and find joy in all that surrounds you.

Have a Happy Colorful Week!

Happy Halloween – Hand Lettering Word Art

Very quick post today! Happy Halloween to all my Copic and crafty friends. I wanted to make sure you had a chance to catch my newest Copic In The Craft Room Video yesterday that features some hand lettering!

Today’s card features Kirarina Wink Pen’s that have a beautiful opaque paint that has a very subtle shimmer. There are 16 colors plus black and white available. (They are really fun!)

The card I created could be used as a card but could also be framed as a word art piece. I started with a rough draft laying out the full phrase and adding fun details like cat ears and tail, a whites broom, pumpkin and moon.

I transfered all of this onto my black cardstock base using X-Press It White Transfer Paper and then colored all my letters and designs with my Kirarina Wink pens!

To see the full process check out the video over at Copic In The Craft Room on YouTube!

Have a Happy Colorful Week!
