Got Glue?

Are you a smash journaler?  Do you like to dabble in art journals?  Or have you been eyeballing the trend but a little nervous about starting something new up?

Tami Taylor at Creative Passion has put together an AMAZING FREE class to get you started and to inspire and challenge you to create or continue a junk journal.  You still have time to sign up for this free class but don’t delay class starts

Here are all the details…

Class will be in session for four weeks, beginning on June 6, 2012 and you’ll receive a new lesson each Wednesday (June 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th.)

Lesson 1 – What are Smashbooks, Junk Journals and Ephemera Diaries?  Let’s talk about these books. What are they? Why keep them? What products should you have?

Lesson 2 – What goes into these books?  This lesson, we’ll discuss all of the wonderful things we can collect and put into our books.

Lesson 3 – Getting Artsy.  We’ll explore doodling, spray inks, and other medias that can be used on our pages.

Lesson 4 – Putting it all together.  We’ll talk putting all the pages together.  Creating layers and dimension.

Bonus – Scavenger Hunt – a pdf full of ideas on things to collect and put on your pages.

What class materials will I get?

Written pdfs that will show you the ins and outs of these books.  You’ll also get videos showing tips, techniques and pages being assembled – all related to these fun books.  Plus – you’ll receive free printables that were designed by some of our very own teachers and friends of Creative Passion.

Hello Again!

Yes I am still here the break in the action was me hitting the deadline wall on my Copic Coloring 3 class.  I am happy to report that all writing and photos are turned in and that videos are being filmed and edited this weekend.  In the midst of the quiet we celebrated John’s birthday.  We woke up to signs all over the house colored by the girls and a lovely paper crown for the birthday boy.

We opened a few gifts had a good lunch with my wonderful friend Brenda, dropped Lori at a Girl Scout sleepover at the zoo and bought a new computer (long story).  All in all a pretty nice day spent all together.

The weekend before that I managed to squeeze in a Saturday crop.  The last time I got to just do layouts was back in October so I gotta tell you it was pure heaven. I did not accomplish anything fancy but after finishing two sample project ideas I managed to complete 17 pages.  Here are a couple of them.  Nothing fancy but yeah for scrapping!

Lastly if you made it all the way to the bottom I am hoping you will let me know what you think of this!  This is some playing for my next class at Creative Passion.  SO EXCITED!!!  I really do want to know what you think! Please 🙂

Hugs!
