Anchors Away!

Hello friends and family. I am bringing you a little Monday morning inspiration from Dare 2B Artzy.

Before I share my card make sure you take the time to participate in this month’s challenge for a chance at a D2BA prize. We are looking for flowers this month!

For my card this Monday morning I am sharing stamps from the new Seas The Day collection and specifically from the Anchors Away and Ocean Waves stamp sets.

I stamped the little sailboat first and then covered or “masked” over it and then stamped the ocean waves and sentiment. I colored the image up with my Copic Markers and finished by fussy cutting around the waves and thrumming around the sky.

Here is a close up of my little boat!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, make sure to come back each day for now D2BA inspiration and stop by the store to enjoy all that fun craftyness!

May Challenge at Dare 2B Artzy

Hello D2BA Fans! I have been in Portland, Oregon teaching Copics all weekend and I am getting to this post a little late and you will laugh because the card I created for the May challenge is a little “late” as well! This month the challenge is Flowers.

Here is the card I created!

I used my Copic Markers on the flower basket and attempted a pansy look. Then I took a D2BA patterned paper and used both sides, weaving it together to create a fun “basket like” background.
Here is a close up of the image. Now I am aware that Easter has come and gone BUT! You could color up a beautiful basket of flowers for your mother, just add a different sentiment.

Hope you will have a little creative time this month to play along and get your name in the hat for a D2BA prize!

Stamp AnnieThing May Release Day #1

This month’s release is a MYSTERY! Find the clues to discover our 3 new images with coordinating outline dies, A Heart Puzzle Die, A new word die, a new stencil, and some fun extras.
Meet the sophisticated Nigel-I Detect An Amazing Day

I decided this month to go with an old Schoo look. All three images remind me of old movies so I tried for the old film sepia tones. I used my Copics but limited myself to only my Earth tones. As you might have seen me do this before there is a huge range of color within the Earth tones so it is a favorite challenge to myself.

Here is a close up of Nigel, his hair is a fun challenge in itself!
Back out a little and now you can see all of him.
Colors used:
Skin – E30, E21, E31, E04
Hair – E43, E44, E47, E49
Coat – E81, E84, E87
Scarf – E04, E09
Pant and shirt – E71, E74, E77, E79
Shoes – E43, E47
Here is the full card, I also used the new word die cut and stencil! The stencil I ran through my die cut with my silicone matte and then sanded the paper down to show the relief!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to stop by Thursday and Friday to check out the rest of the new release!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

How You Bean? Stamp AnnieThing

Hello friends and family! I am bringing you a little mid-week Stamp AnnieThing inspiration. I have been playing with a Gelli Arts: Gel Printing Plate recently so I decided to create a background for the adorable Gracie-How You Bean image.

I colored Gracie with my Copics:

Then I used the Gel Printing plate, Copic Various Ink refills and a plastic cup to create faux coffee rings on watercolor paper:

Add the two together with some pretty patterned papers and trim and we have a card!

Here is a close up of Gracie to see her hair and skin a little better. I added a touch of Glossy Accents onto the coffee bean on the cup too.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you have not had a chance make sure to enter your “Pastel” creation in this month’s theme challenge on our FaceBook Fan page!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!
