Hop Hop Hop!

So sorry this is late going up!!!!
Happy Easter Hopping to you all! And welcome to my blog. If you are visiting for the first time as part of the Easter hop I hope you will come back and visit again sometime soon.

The image I chose to play with is Michelle Perkett’s Oh Happy Spring Digital Stamp. And instead of doing a single card or layout I colored 8 of these little guys to use in a treasure hunt, or should I say basket hunt, next weekend.

Instead of the Easter Bunny leaving a basket out for my girls to find our Easter Bunny likes to send them on a wild goose chase looking for clues in various spots around the house to find their hidden basket. Sara and Lori will each have 4 sneaky bunnies to find in order to track down their Easter goodies this year and each bunny will have a clue on the back to find the next.

The bunnies were colored with Copic markers and I added Stickles and a pom pom tail to each. The white bunny uses C1 and the blender, the caramel bunny is Y23, Y26 and Y28, the gray bunny is C1, C3, C5, C7 and the chocolate bunny is E35, E37 and E29. All the bunnies have R20 for their noses and inner ear. Lori’s bunnies have B05 for their bow and B66 for the butterfly. Sara’s bunnies have RV55 for the bow and RV19 for the butterflies.

If you started your hop at Michelle Perkett’s personal blog you are only at stop three so better get to hoppin’! Lots of amazing art yet to see! Here is a list of all the stops to keep you moving along your way.

So I have doubled up on this last challenge. I did this layout to complete a challenge over at A Day For Daisies and also to complete an image for iCopic’s design team call. The image is from A Day For Daisies and they were wishing for stitching on a project so all the butterfly trails are hand sewn in silver thread. iCopic is looking for an image using pink.

The colors I used are R20, R22, blender (dress), Y23, Y26, E35, E37 (hair), YR000, YR01 (skin), B60, B66, B69, Y19, YG13 (pansies), B0000, B00, and blender (sky).

As an FYI there is a fun Easter Blog Hop coming up at the Michelle Perkett Blog. I will be hopping along and other’s as well. If you are a crafter or Copic lover you might have to come take a peek!

On a family note we are all doing well. Lori is fighting a bit of a cold which she has passed on to me. Sara did a big presentation at school today and both John and I got to go. Big surprise she is quite the little actress. I have got lots of activities getting lines up for summer, hard to belive that that is right around the corner. And the weather has warmed again for a couple days. Which would be even nicer if the wind was not strong enough to knock you off your feet :-). All in all life is pretty sweet!

Hugs all!

One more challenge for the ladies at Michelle Perkett Challenge Blog. I just so love her images. It has been fun exploring all the digital artists out there! I have some favorites these days and will be sharing a few of them in an upcoming class! Which leads me to the fact that I might have to miss out on a couple challenges in order to get the class together. But I sure do love playing along when I can, and I will be back at it as soon as I get my class written. I have one more challenge I just might HAVE to do this weekend or next week but we shall see.

I have to go pick up my girl and then off to a late night Mom’s movie night. Look at me going out on a weeknight :-).
Hugs all!

I am scrambling here to get some creating in this weekend! I was dying to get two new images colored and complete SOMETHING, ANYTHING! So here are the results…

This first image ans layout are another fun Michelle Perkett image. They complete the challenge on her blog. I love this mother, daughter image and I know I will be using it for a card 🙂

This next card is made with an image by Tammy Thompson she is the designer and owner of A Day for Daisies. She creates beautiful whimsical images and is so much fun! This card fulfills a challenge over at iCopic who’s color challenge this week is lime, green and blue. Tammy’s peacock fairy fit the bill perfectly. I can’t take credit for the hand stitching on this, the paper is from a collection by Prima and between the image and the paper the card is just that simple.

The family is well! I taught another doodling class live yesterday here locally this time. It went very well and the 15 ladies all walked away with smiles on their faces. We hosted our small group for dinner last night which was 20 total bodies in our home for burgers and dogs. It was a very nice evening! Today was quieter with church, lunch at KFC and naps all around 🙂 A little creative time for the girls, exercise for Dad and a well rounded day indeed!

Hope your week treats you all well.
Hugs!

Color, color, color! Yes I am having fun. Two challenges this week and they had different colors so I had to do two! Oh no! Not more coloring! Both images above are from Michelle Perkett. The above image is for her blog challenge we were going green this week so I added her Goldilocks image to a layout. The layout is incomplete as the photos of my leprechauns are on order. The below card is for the iCopic weekly color challenge. This week we were assigned pink, orange, and purple.

I’ll be back later this week for a family update, we are busy with my Mom and Dad. We had a grand adventure today looking at fossils in a washed out gorge! Yes here in Iowa, so cool!

In the mean time hugs all!
