Adorable Dare 2B Artzy Alpaca Card in Copic Color

A quick Happy hello I have a bright, cheery, and a little silly card to share today. Make sure to check in tomorrow to follow a long with a weekend blog hop and don’t forget the latest D2BA challenge!

For today’s inspiration I am playing with the Alpaca Cake set and coloring them up with my Copic markers.

Here is the pile that I used for at least most of the image

Notice I have a blank area? I wanted to brighten up the blanket so I went into my pile of D2PA papers and pulled a little pile then matched 4 markers to the papers

So then I trimmed off all those beautiful paper edges, they need a little love too, and filled a full card front with them

Then I finished up the coloring on my Alpaca and added the image. Really no embellishment was needed with all that color!

And LOVE the sentiment!

Simple Copic Coloring and Dare 2B Artzy

Did you know Copic coloring does not HAVE to be complicated? You can keep it really simple! This week I created a card using only a handful of colors that I love and a gorgeous new flower stamp from Dare 2B Artzy.

I colored up the image, including a little ombre on the message:

2 colors for the petals, Y17 and Y11, 2 colors on the center YR14 and YR187 then 2 colors for the leaves YG61 and YG63. I used the Y11 and Y17 on the lettering.

Then I used the back ground I created using the D2BA stencil and my Copic ABS. (Air Brush System) You can see a post all about this a little lower down that includes a video over at Copic In The Craft Room on YouTube.

I put a simple card together and now I am ready to mail it!

Here is a quick close up peek at the flower. Remember Copic can be EASY, keep it simple!

Two More Copic College Locations

As promised I have finalized 2 more locations for Copic College Weekends.

Dare 2B Artzy New Products and Copic Backgrounds

There are new things on the horizon at Dare 2B Artzy! All sorts of beautiful new product and I get to share a couple today!

Make sure to check in on this month’s challenge Winter Wonderland! Make sure to get your art added so you have a chance at a wonderful prize.

For today I am playing with two of the new stencils! I am just creating backgrounds for now soon they will be coming cards.

I used a Copic ABS (Air Brush System) to create the soft effect on these two backgrounds. Here is a closer look at both:

Copic College Open for Registration!

Today is the day!

Copic College – Ankeny, Iowa and Copic College – Minneapolis, MN are open for registration! There is a limited number of seats at each location so signing up earlier will guarantee your spot!
