Bragging Rights Part 2

Can I say again just perfect? Yes I think I can. I am still warm with the glow of a perfect Christmas. Lots of time together with two amazing little girls a wonderful husband and Mom and Dad, now if Mom and Dad in-law had been here too that would have been the icing on the cake.

Bet you thought I forgot all about this huh? Nope just taking my own sweet (busy) time.

Yep for those of you who do not know I am in the minority it seems of those who love my in-laws. Patty and Charlie are some of the most amazing giving people I will ever meet. Patty is a true prayer warrior. Her faith is unending and her personal strength in life is something I admire with my whole being. Charlie is a dear friend, I will never forget the “dates” we went on when I had first moved to Farmington. The high school football and meals will never be forgotten. They both are as much my support system as my own parents. I love them dearly.

Then there is my Mom and Dad. How do you write in words how you feel about parents that you love so much? Dad is amazing a true rock. In a good way Dad! I always knew and still know that my Dad would do anything to keep me safe, secure and happy. He demonstrates leadership and rel life common sense like no other! I am so much more independent because of his gentle pushes and encouragement. And besides without these amazing typing skills how could I mange this blog 🙂 I love you Dad! And then there is Mom, no crying Mom! She is my best friend which really says most of it. She is an amazing woman and I want to be just like her when I grow up. She is an amazing educator, full of joy and laughter and the BEST darn Mom EVER! I love you Mom!

I am so blessed to have all of them still in my life!

OK lighter note… Kindergarten joke for the day

Holy Snow Batman!

I am not sure if you can totally appreciate it but the mounds up near the house are about 3 and a half feet deep. And they are not budging! The high today was -5ish yes that is a minus you see in front of the 5 and yes it was the high. Needless to say it is cold and at least for the foreseeable week ahead promises more of the same. Wednesday sees us hitting 11 degrees with more snow. Hmm… I think it is a little ridiculous at this point. Needless to say we are saying prayers of thanksgiving for our home and our furnace and mostly for our insulated garage. Gotta love cars that will start in the morning! We have had an amazing holiday with John home for Christmas for the first time in 5 years, my Mom and Dad here ripping open of packages, lots of good food and just time in general which is always a gift.
The new year is upon us and I am nearing a year older. I always wonder how I got here, I mean this old, and to this place and time. I look back and I can remember and feel all the places, people and situations that have brought me this far and yet it feels like it rushed past in a blurr. I want to savor it all more, appreciate the people, places and situations to their fullest. How about that for sentimental mushyness?! All joking aside I want to continue living life to the fullest not just going through the motions.
Well I hope the new year greets you all with warm welcoming arms and the thrill of a new adventure. Hope your holidays were as full of family and love as mine.

Happy New Year!
Hugs to all!

The Best!

OK I hope this works because it is the cutest ever!

Lori is the one little girl in blue, center stage, I will have you note she matched her bell color perfectly. I am not sure why this is so blurry but it is just too sweet not to share. Lori’s class did three songs with the bells for their Christmas program today and we were all blown away. They also recited a Christmas alphabet and sang several songs. They were just amazing!

Here is a joke from their class today,

What is the difference between the regular alphabet and a Christmas alphabet?

There is “no el”

Ha Ha Ha I love Kindergarten humor!

SNOW!!!!

OK so I am back and forced into a home day. We are experiencing blizzard conditions and most of Des Moines has shut it’s doors tight. John was supposed to make it in to the hospital for surgery but ended up in a snow drift one block from home safe but not making it in to work.

Last night we spent about an hour or more out in the white stuff playing with shovels and Dad snow blowing lucky for us our driveway is clear because of it! Just the 4 foot drift against the garage door to clear now Ha Ha!

We had a lot of fun! And now we are tucked into our home for the foreseeable future.

I will get going on my bragging later today or tomorrow, I am not done with that either!

Here is what you really came for though how about a Kindergarten joke to hold you over?

What goes Oh! Oh! Oh?
Santa Clause walking backwards 🙂
