Oh Scrappy Day! I actually had a scrappy evening it felt GREAT. I managed to make 11 pages in the 6 hours. None extra spectacular but oh it felt so good to just put some pages together. Here are a couple of them.
This first one is from last November’s trip to Arizona! I managed to get those pages complete so I am ready to go again this November 🙂 I LOVE the photo of John and his Dad, they are such an amazing duo!

This next one is of my scrapping buddies at two separate crops. It has been so nice to find some ladies to go to events with regularly. We laugh an awful lot as we play with our tools.

Life is humming along nicely at our house Girl Scouts was the latest and last activity to hit the home front last night. Both girls are involved this year in their own troops and both LOVE it. Girl scouts is still the best.

Hugs all!

SOOOOO we had this little end of summer get together for a group of girls. Partly to have our very first Birthday party for both the girls but really to see school friends again. The weather did not cooperate for our plans of outdoor water fun with Pizza and ice cream BUT not surprisingly the girls all still got wet and enjoyed themselves. The highlight however I think was this….

Yes that is John on a slip and slide and the girls screamed him on to do a few more. That is Lori currently cheering Daddy on. We really did have a fun day.

I have not posted in a while and there is never really a great excuse but I will give you mine anyway! I was visiting all of the Weaver 5 clan in Oregon for a week where we had PERFECT weather and an amazing week all together! Could not have been any nicer really!

Then while I was on vacation I found out Debbie Hodge is ready for the next installment of my Copic Coloring classes and the sooner the better. 🙂 I am more than happy to oblige and will be teaching Copic Crazy live (on-line) in September and Copic Coloring #2 in October. I have the stamp artist lined up and am working on the art work this week. I will give some sneaky peaks this next week.

So there you go that is my life in a very tiny nutshell. School starts in two days and the girls are excited and ready. I will be using every spare minute getting my class together and John is busy as usual.

Back in the saddle again! Hey I got two cards created at the most amazing evening last night! 6 of my bestest girl friends here in Des Moines and my wonderful friend Brenda (who drove in from MO) joined me for an evening of Copic coloring! I had a wonderful time! Did a little teaching and helping one on one with images both from my on-line class and images they brought to play with. Chatted and laughed a lot and in general had a very special evening! Thank you sooooo much ladies! The cards I completed are a complete side bonus, Oh and I made a note from the tooth fairy that was a little tardy in delivering the goods (oops!) but she made good by leaving a note with Copic colored image of herself and 4 quarters woop woop! Lori was the one waiting patiently for the note she lost her second front tooth and is sporting quite the gap now!

On to the cards here is one with an adorable Michelle Perkett digital image that she gave out free at her site! The card completes this weeks challenge “cute as a button” right up my ally since I am still slightly addicted to buttons 🙂

This second card is from Christy Croll’s collection with Stamping Bella they just started carrying them at Archiver’s so I could not resist! How cute and way to go Stamping Bella for getting on at Archiver’s! Not sure if this card will fit in at Christy’s on-line digital site Tiddly Inks but I sure will see if I can make it fit! He He

We have one last week of swimming two more weeks of diving and then our Oregon trip, one last week of summer than school! Yikes how did that happen!!!!!

Hugs all!

INKY FINGERS!! Yes this is a photo of my thumb which I am displaying proudly as my proof of completing the latest Copic class! Dare I say prize? I have to tell you that this class was amazing!! I loved every minute and I am so glad that Copic let Colleen and Bianca give it a go. I think they are on to something that has HUGE potential and possibilities. I am busy catching up and prepping for my Copic class starting next week but my head is spinning with ideas and insperation and a need to get messy!

This is a small accordion book I completed with Bianca. We colored 5v pieces of silk in different ways using Copic the top is a faux batik which I will be using OVER AND OVER! Love it and I want he whole book she has a breathtaking mini book coated in fabric and ribbon and just plain yum!

This pile – O – Tags is from the first portion of the day and we explored 10 different ways to start adding Copic to our mixed media and crafting projects. i will be sharing a few in more detail over at Get It Scrapped so stay tuned you will want to see these close up!

Lastly is our canvas, Colleen led us on this project and I loved the mix of think about this, try this and just go to it! The photo does not show off my “story” very well but the idea we were trying to fly with was taking a singular photo and going with it showing it through all the layers and all the textures and colors. By the way my story if you are curious is growing roots 🙂 John’s first question was where is the Copic? Good question so glad you asked! The bottom layer has my “story written or at least brainstormed in Copic marker, next layer up is a collage of 1 photo, magazines and tissue (which was crumpled with copic ink dropped on it) pieces of this layer were airbrushed with Copic. The sky and land are modeling paste died with Copic Ink and the photo has been drawn on with Copic, painted over with acrylic died with Copic and airbrushed with Copic. So is Copic in there, oh yeah baby!

On the family note the girls and John had an equally amazing day at the Children’s Museum. They dressed up as dinosaurs, created fashion for Barbie, and climbed a rock wall. We had a delicious meal at Rock Bottom (we were surrounded by good food and shopping) We could definitely do a trip back to Indianapolis!

More to come later this week 🙂

Hugs all!
