Indulge!

I have to tell you that I had the best time thinking of how I wanted to do this layout and then making it.  It came together in a snap and I have to say it turned out even better than I had hoped 🙂  One of the happy accidents includes the color bands.  I planned on painting bands and then just painted colors that I liked and that I liked how they looked together.  Then I realized that the 4 bands that I created matched the found objects and the photo just perfectly.  You gotta love it when life just happens and happens so lovely!

If you have not checked in to Get It Scrapped lately make sure to stop by.  The goodness just keeps coming!  Lots of new articles including the one on indulgences and a collection of articles that highlight trends in scrapbooking.  There is also new sketch bundles and so much more!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Round Up

Here is a peek at my latest layout over at Get It Scrapped.  It is part of an article about round-ups.  The concept of gathering similar photos from different time periods or different events to highlight a theme in your life.  Mine is not to hard to figure out, but it was sure fun to make!  Read more about it HERE

I am off to CHA this weekend.  A special trip to see friends, do some crafting, make connections and see the latest and greatest in the industry!

Stay tuned I will share some of my favorites here and at Creative Passion!

Happy New Year everyone!

Seeing Red (on layouts)

I know, right in the middle of the Christmas season and I have the opportunity to scrap with red and what do I scrap?  Beach photos from the summer.  He He so me, so all over the place.  BUT the article at Get It Scrapped has some gorgeous layouts so I would recommend heading that way and taking a peek!

Here is my contribution:

Maybe it was my need for some warmer weather.  Iowa remembered that it is winter and decided to hit us full force.  We have a white Christmas and the Iowa winds are keeping us in the “feels like” single digit degrees.

I hope and pray that you all are tucked in with family and friends for this holiday season.

Merry Christmas!

So far behind!

To long has it been since I last posted and this one has to be short and sweet.  Christmas is in the single digit countdown, I have 2 new classes needing finishing for the new year, a few gifts left to make and I think I am in charge of a craft for a Holiday party I have a little bit of a pile going.  But here is the run down of the latest articles over the past few weeks at Get It Scrapped:

Journaling on Photos is up:

Also Patchwork inspiration:

There is even an article on using Vignettes as inspiration:

All the layouts were so much fun to create I have been loving getting so much scrapping done and remembering all the amazing times surrounding all these wonderful photos.

I hope you all are approaching the holidays with joy in your hearts and homes.

Merry Christmas!
