Copic College 2019 in the works!

Just a little info so you know the “plan”. I have two Copic Colleges left for the 2018 season, one in Washington, IL and the last in Kennesaw, GA (near Atlanta). In the midst of those, I am working on my Copic College schedule for 2019. I have had a lot of requests and although I would like to accommodate them all there is only one of me and I still have a family and home to manage.

I am also pulling together images for the new manual, lining up the techniques we will be working on and making sure this manual lives up to the quality bar I set with the first one!

My goal is to have locations and dates set with in the next couple weeks and then get things set up on my blog. If all goes smoothly…

November 12th I will announce locations and dates for the 2019 Copic Colleges and open at least all the Winter/Spring weekends for registration. I am still deciding if I will open the entire year for registration.

As a reminder you will register here at my blog not at locations EVEN if the event is being held in a store. You can call them but they will not be able to get you signed up. Here is a link to the information page that will update with the new schedule in November. Or you can just click on the Copic College tab above

So believe it or not I created 4 cards with NO Copic on them GASP! Yes I know hard to believe, but OH so fun! The border stamps make these backgrounds uber easy and the ink blocks with their juicy, saturated color make it so fun to play!

My first card I used two of the inks and layered the stamps, to finish I added a strip of mulberry paper and a die cut hugs (yep that is from StampAnnieThing as well ?:

Next I used five of the little ink blocks and created an ombre effect. (Hint – Start with your lightest ink first so you do not do a lot of cross contaminating) I trimmed this one down, placed it on vellum and added twine:

Next I tried another ombre effect, this time I used one series on the base stamp, the fans. Then I used a second series of ombre colors to add the dots at the tips and liked it so much I added those again at the top and bottom of the card. I added a die cut hello and some spark to finish this card:

Here is a close up:

For my fourth and final card I used a Stamp AnnieThing stencil and embossed white cardstock. Then I LIGHTLY brushed ink across the raised surface. I started with my lightest ink block and work up to the darkest again. I had the felt circle as part of old packaging (LOVE when an old scrap finds a good home!) Then added one more die cut to finish this simple card:

My card making buddies will be so proud of me and my die cutting and embossing he he!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I have been blow away how the entire SAT team worked with the new inks and border/background stamps! If you have time it is worth a spin through their art!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Christmas Wreath With Dare 2B Artzy

Merry Monday to all you Dare 2B Artzy friends! Bringing a little inspiration to the start of your week!

This month at D2BA the challenge is Favorite Colors! Make sure to create something with your favorite palette and share it on the D2BA blog so you have a shot at winning a prize!

For my post today I created a really simple card! I used two different die cut sets and some of the new Holiday patterned paper to create a wreath on a 6 x 6 card base.

Here is a little bit of a close up so you can see the different patterned papers:

Here is a link to a short video over at the D2BA YouTube channel showing how I pulled it all together:

Stamp AnnieThing Theme week #33

Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends! Michelle Houghton here to share a little SAT inspiration for your Wednesday! This week is theme week which means we are encouraging you to participate in our current theme and share your work!

I am the queen of keep it simple cards so this was right umps ally! I picked an image from a special release just a couple months ago, Lemonade Stand, and colored her up with my Copics. I kept the coloring simple and used basic natural blending groups for my color choices:

Then I added her to my card, again as simple as it gets, two patterned papers with a third strip running horizontal. No additions just the image:

I’ll let you get a closer peek as well, the only little tricky part I did was the glass of lemonade, and this is not fancy. I added her hair color behind the top edge of the glass and lightened it with my Colorless Blender so it looks like we can see through the glass a little:

Besides the “seay peasy lemon squeezy is not only a favorite saying it is perfect for the theme week!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hello Hello and Fab-U-Lous Friday to you all!
We have one more fun image to share today and this one is too stinking cute! (You will want to gobble her up! he he )
I got Natalie – Gobble all colored up with Copics,

fussy cut her out and added her to my card front. You could color those tail feathers so many different ways, add texture, no-line coloring, rainbows…And the die cut this month, LOVE! The lettering is so fine and delicate. It could be used with so many different images or completely on it’s own. I did not feature the stencils with this release but both of them are GORGEOUS and so versatile! I know you will see them in my work later this month.

Oh, and I could not resist adding a little Glossy Accents to the turkey! The google eyes were just screaming for it!

So glad you stopped by today! And now you can go shopping! Enjoy all the new goodies at Stamp AnnieThing!
