I am back from CHA 2015. (Craft Hobby Association) I got to sit in on all the Copic classes and walk the show floor and I am inspired! My fingers are itching to color and scrapbook till the cows come home. Now I just need to carve out the time to do it!!
While watching Copic classes I did a little coloring myself and pushed myself to use color choices that are far from my norm. Here are the results;
This image is from he Whimsical Faces and Hair class, it is an image by Mo’s Digital Pencil
So excited how she turned out! Not my normal fair brunette or red head! I even learned how to do Sherrie’s amazing Impressionistic looking hair on our Day for Daisies image and that is COOL! You have to come to class to get that peek though ha ha! Then we did our Vintage and Values class, I will have a special post about this class in a couple days. The responses to the lessons were spectacular and the people who took it felt they learned the most in this class!
Lastly we spent Saturday coloring cloths and accessories. Again I had fun playing with new color combinations and pushing my own coloring skills, here are a couple fun examples:
This first one is from Tiddly Inks, we had just finished learning plaid and were moving on to pleats with this image and when we had her skirt all colored someone noted “Hey we could make her skirt plaid!” So of course we all decided we better try that too.
Coloring her hair is NOT a part of this class but I was dying to try to color her hair like Cindy does in her sample so I gave it a whirl and oh so love the results! Well worth the extra effort Cindy!
This next image is from Stamping Bella, I decided to go for a shiny black look. We are practicing gathers on this image as well I just decided to crank up the contrast 🙂
The classes were fabulous and the ladies that will be teaching them are the very best! I can’t wait for Seattle 13th and 14th for my first run at teaching them! I hope any of you in the area will join me. You can ask for it for your Valentines present, just think a whole day or two of coloring and then a romantic dinner after. I truly can not think of a more perfect day!
Make sure to check out all the current openings in the Copic schedule HERE! I have two weekends on the schedule now, February 13th and 14th in Seattle, Washington and March 13th and 14th in St. Louis, Missouri.
Happy Coloring!
