Embelishing titles and Card Challenge

Another fun article over at Get It Scrapped to share.  Today’s article feature embellished titles, ways to add a little zing to a title.  I have a layout in the article that I added a lot of ZING to I had so much fun putting this one together!

Here is a close up of the title work.  I painted the chipboard letters with gesso, doodled with a Copic Multiliner and added color with Copics.

On a separate note, with the girls back in school I am trying to spend a little crafty time every day so I have started doing a few card challenges again.  Here is a quick one that I created for a challenge over at Twin Touch Markers & More Challenges.  The requirements are food and shading.  I used my Copic markers for this card since I only own 6 Twin Touch markers.

I used R20, R22, R24, R29, BG53 and BG57 to color in the cupcake from a sheet of doodled paper by Luxe.  The background is created with Copic ink dripped on vellum and then dabbing blending solution over it with a cotton ball.  the patterned paper is by Basic Grey and the cardstocks are both Bazzill.  The felt flowers are from Queens and Co.

Thanks for stopping by today, HUGS!

I have a really special image to share today. I found this information on my dear friend Lori Craig’s blog this image was created in support of crafter Katie Renz a vivacious, funny, caring and crafty mother of 3 was dealt a crippling diagnosis of inoperable gastric cancer.

This is my card created with the exclusive stamp designed by Becky Oehlers. It’s available as a clear stamp, digi and even SVG cut file. 100% of the profits from the sale of these items got to Katie’s fund to help her and her young family. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True = D Doodle Designs both donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted. Information central is HERE. This is a permanent page that will stay active at i {heart} papers with current info.

I felt like this was important information to share and pass along even to the few people I might touch. This could have been me it could have been any one of the amazing women that I hold personally dear. I do not know Katie personally but she will be in my prayers.

Thanks for stopping by and if you felt led to maybe purchase a stamp for yourself and pass it on.

I also have a tutorial going up at Get It Scrapped describing how to complete the background on this card.

hugs!

Hi all! Well I had a spectacular weekend with my parents in town! Pumpkin picking and a Zoo trip with new Imax, lots of laughs and visits. BUT our internet went down for the entire weekend so I missed posting the last three challenges for Outlawz that I had completed on Friday. 🙁 But here they are any way! The first is for the Greeting challenge very sweet and simple love it !

This second is for the Twist challenge of yellow red and green

The third is my favorite. CAS or clean and simple and use an old product. I have to be honest I do not have much old product have purged a couple times over the past year BUT I did find some older papers. I had a sheet of this wood grain that I love the texture on so I made a little door that swings open and…

Fun inside. These little guys are from an older sheet of paper as well, at least 3 seasons past. Thanks Outlawz for all the great challenges and the party!

One more challenge! i am squeaking in at least one more we’ll see if I can get to any others :-). This challenge was fall with a fancy fold at the Outlawz 1000 member challenge. So I have this cutie image from Tiffany Doodles colored in Copics. (E11, E13, E15, E41, E44, Y23, Y26, B21, YR14, YR15, YR16, YR18). The fold I just learned from one of the DT gals at Outlawz. How cool is this! You can see her example at her blog with some “how too”. Thanks Brenda!
