Copic Countdown Card

Hello friends and family. A very quick little burst of inspiration for you today.

I created a little card for a good friend of mine to countdown days. I colored up  Stacey – #celebrate from Stamp AnnieThing and made a pocket for her to sit on top of with a slide out counter card.

I created a video so you can see all the coloring including the wood flooring that we did a little while ago live on Facebook.

Here is a quick peek at the finished look though:

Here is the little pull out, out:

And a close up shot of Stacey, she had some prepare work done on some freckles and you can see that on the video as well:

Here is a link to the video:

D2BA Holiday Rose

Hello and happy Monday friends and family. Bringing you a little D2BA inspiration to start your week.

This month’s D2BA challenge is “Fall” so make sure you take a few minutes and create a project celebrating fall to enter to win a fun prize!

Today though I am headed straight to the holidays! I chose to work with the Holiday Rose stamp set and my Copics as well as some of the new D2BA patterned papers. Here is a quick shot of the colors I used. Cindy made coloring easy she added cross hatching lines to show where shading should go.

Here is a close up of the rose so you can see the coloring, I added a little sparkle onto the berries as well. When coloring a stamp that has a lot of details like this one I look for sports to push pieces back and lift other’s toward the viewer. For example on the pine needles or evergreen boughs I used darker colors on the needles that are sitting to the back, further away from the viewer. This not only adds depth, it also allows the viewer to more easily too all the pieces of the image.

The card as a whole uses some of the beautiful new papers from the D2BA fall and holiday release. I added very thin borders of solid cardstock to define the edges of the busier patterned papers.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! make sure to swing by the D2BA store to check on the latest additions and come back here to the blog this week for more D2BA inspiration.

Copic Card with a Sketch

Hello Copic and crafty friends and family! I have a little Stamp AnnieThing inspiration for you today.

I love having someone else give me the idea for the design work on my card. I don’t have to sit there and scratch my head over a lot of decisions. When someone maps it out for me I can do the fun part, pick a stamp, color, pick pretty paper to match and stick it all together. The fun part of making!

This week’s Theme Week Challenge #34 is using a sketch.

I chose my image and pick a group of very simple color combinations to allow me to work fairly quickly:

I colored up the sweet Kelly – Reading Book:

And added her to the card base I designed using this weeks sketch as a road map!

This card came together super fast and that always feels great!

Make sure to play along and submit your version of the sketch ?

Thank you for stopping by today, more Stamp AnnieThing inspiration to come so keep stopping by.

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Pretty limited pallet, but I think she turned out pretty cute!

Yay It is Friday! Thanks for stopping by one more time! I am teaching a Copic College today in Washington, IL, but set this up to make sure you got the last peek of the SAT October release! I took a few more steps on this card and used these super fun stencils to create a full background scene for the stamp.
In hind site I would have moved the cats to the right a little further right and up, but live and learn ?
I started by using a few of the new Stamp AnnieThing ink blocks with the cactus stencils, and creating masks for the cacti by tracing through the stencil:

Next I used my Copic ABS to create a sky and ground behind the cacti:

Picked out some Copic colors and got my cow girl and her painted horse colored up (I realized after editing the photo that I left all the Cool Grays in the bag, I did not use them on this image sorry!):

Added her into her scene:

And popped her onto a card!

Here is a closer look at our cowgirl.

Thanks for joining me this week for the October SAT release! If you have not had a chance yet check out a few of the other Stamp AnnieThing DT members, they are as usual rocking the SAT images, dies and stencils!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!
