Swinging Piñata!
Hello all my friends and family! I have some new inspiration for you today using one of my all time favorite D2BA stamp sets, Alpaca Cake.
He he I am so excited to share my card today! I created a shaker card using the Alpaca Cake stamp set and I also used the wavy squares die cuts to create the window for my shaker. The shaker portion not only has glitter and beads it also contains a swinging piñata!
Here is a close up of this little guy!
I realize it is a little hard to appreciate a moving part with no movement however… surprise, surprise there is a video as well!

Copic Earth Tones
About 2 years ago I created a couple videos over at the Copic In The Craft Room YouTube channel that featured the Copic Earth Tones. I explained how they do not follow the normal Copic numbering system and how they can be used to create amazing color on your images. Here are links to both those videos:
There are a few more videos since these that feature the Earth tones but these are the original two, I am planning a couple more in the very near future ? They create beautiful vintage looking images.
Since then I have had multiple people request the chart that I share on the first video. Here is the challenge, if I share the chart and you print it the colors will not be accurate. AND more importantly the original chart has a copyright from Imagination International, Inc on it. SOOOO I am sharing the chart, BUT I am also sharing a blank chart that I created and you have permission from me to use. This is so you can fill out your own, on your own Copic paper, whatever your favorite is, and create an accurate Earth tone chart for yourself! You are welcome to use mine as a reference as needed where you are missing colors or helping decide which ones you might like to invest in next, but PLEASE do not print it out and believe the colors will be accurate!
Hope this is helpful! Feel free to share a link to my blog to share the chart with friends and while you’re here sign up for my newsletter up in the upper right. It will keep you informed of all my Copic College weekends and live classes.
Have a Happy Colorful Day!
Make Your Own “Copic” Rainbow
Hello Stamp AnnieThing friends! I have a quick splash of SAT inspiration for you today and a teaser of more to come.
I created a new card this week with one of my favorite Stamp AnnieThing stamps, Samantha – Make Your Own Rainbow. Why you might ask, with all the stamps to choose from? Well…maybe it has to do with the fact that she is holding a marker and I like to color it like a Copic! Today not only did I color her with my Copics I created a background with my (ABS) Copic air brush system.
I started with the sky and a rainbow!
Here is a peek how that turned out:
Then I pulled off the mask and colored up Sammantha!
Here is a look at how cute she is:
I added a plane card base, all that color don’t need any more details:
Then next Wednesday I will be posting a video of how I did all that colorful magic! It will be posted on the Copic In The Craft Room YouTube page.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Copic College 2019 in the works!
Just a little info so you know the “plan”. I have two Copic Colleges left for the 2018 season, one in Washington, IL and the last in Kennesaw, GA (near Atlanta). In the midst of those, I am working on my Copic College schedule for 2019. I have had a lot of requests and although I would like to accommodate them all there is only one of me and I still have a family and home to manage.
I am also pulling together images for the new manual, lining up the techniques we will be working on and making sure this manual lives up to the quality bar I set with the first one!
My goal is to have locations and dates set with in the next couple weeks and then get things set up on my blog. If all goes smoothly…
November 12th I will announce locations and dates for the 2019 Copic Colleges and open at least all the Winter/Spring weekends for registration. I am still deciding if I will open the entire year for registration.
As a reminder you will register here at my blog not at locations EVEN if the event is being held in a store. You can call them but they will not be able to get you signed up. Here is a link to the information page that will update with the new schedule in November. Or you can just click on the Copic College tab above
