Stamp AnnieThing June Release Day 3

Don’t you LOVE technology? This was supposed to post on June 8th! It even says that on the page where I scheduled it and it did not go so here is a bonus from the June release at Stamp AnnieThing!

One more day of the June release peeks for Stamp AnnieThing. I love all three of the stamp sets being released this month, but I think I had the most fun playing with this one! Here is a look at what I created.

I always try to vary the skin tones of the images I color, it keeps me challenged and because of that it keeps the creative juices flowing! I wanted to do darker skin on this little girl so went dark with my Copics in E30, E33 and E35.

I also wanted to make sure that her hair matched the darker skin tone so turned the curly pigtails into poofs and made them curly! I’ll be honest I took me multiple times to get the look I wanted, but totally worth it, love how this little girl turned out! Hair colors Copic E43, E44, E47, E49, C9.

Then to top it all off I gave myself one last challenge I wanted her to look like she was sitting in water. So I kept the portion under the water lighter and then colored a VERY light BG0000 over the surface and a little bit darker BG13 to add swirls.  The other colors I used for the suit and the details are Y11, Y14, Y15, Y17, Y19, YR15, YR18.

Thanks for joining me this month for the Stamp Anniething release!

Have A Happy Colorful Day!

Stamp AnnieThing June Release Day 2

Welcome back for a second day of peeks of the June release at Stamp AnnieThing. Here is the card I created:

I love not only the stamp set that allowed me to add the Unicorn head and tail to my girl’s tube but I could have chosen a Flamingo head or just the plane tube. One if the DT members even made it look like she was floating in the water! So cool! And Ann thinks of all the details like a little hand holding on! I also used one of the new stencils from this month, I created the wave background by coloring on the stencil with a Copic and then used a paper towel dampened with Colorless Blender to brush the color onto the paper beneath. It ends up looking a little chalky.

Here is a little closer look at the stamp:

She is so crazy adorable! Here is a list of Copic colors I used: Skin – E00, E01, E21, E93, E23 Hair – YR31, E33, YR24, YR27, E35, Swimsuit and Accessories – RV52, RV63, RV66, V09, Y09, Y00, Y21, N1, N3, BG01, BG02, BV00, BV02 Ground – E50, E31, E33 Sky – B45

Thanks for stopping by! We will have more SAT inspiration coming tomorrow!

Little Bird from Dare 2B Artzy

Hello all you Dare 2B Artzy fans! How about a little inspiration to start your day.

I used one of the little birds from the Be Yourself stamp set and today I worked on watercolor paper. I know that usually you would hear no Copics on Watercolor, but it is beautiful! It blends easily on Watercolor since it is so soft, the trick, or what you need to know is that watercolor paper is VERY absorbent. It will use more ink than you normally would use on smooth cardstock. It is worth it to me so I still use it every once and a while.

Here is a closer look.

When you have a chance make sure to create a card for this months D2BA challenge!

The stamp set that I used for this card is: Be Yourself

June release Stamp AnnieThing Day 1

Are you ready for a new release from Stamp Anniething? well when you see the new products this month you will be!

Take a look at today’s peeks for Day 1! Off to the beach we go! this adorable beach goer is one of 3 new stamps she has these cool glasses that she can wear hold or skip, It was fun seeing how all the DT members used them. Her swim suit also works as a one piece OR a bikini!

Then there are dies those cool palm trees are part of this month’s die set!

Copic Colors Used: Swim Suit and accessories – Y32, Y35, YR14, YR18, BG53, BG45, BG05, Skin – E11, E13, E15, E04, E93, Hair – Y23, E43, E44, E47, Glasses, Lenses – C3, C5, Sky – BG000, Ground – E51, E55

And then there are pre-printed die cuts that you can color up and stencils galore! I learned a new trick with one of my stencils this month. Did you know you can use stencils to create embossed patterns on your paper? My good friend Amanda showed me how to use a silicon matte with a die cut machine to use my stencils for embossing! Hard to see in my photo but the Kraft cardstock has these cool bubbles all over the base!

Stay tuned the next two days for more great offerings from Stamp AnnieThing this month!

And make sure to check out all the Design Team members work, I Love the variety this team comes up with!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Fly Away Butterfly!

Good morning!  Bringing a little Dare 2B Artzy inspiration to you this fine spring day! Do not miss this months challenge for a chance to win some D2BA goodness!

I have a fun card for you today created using the Butterfly Inspiration stamp set. I stamped onto both cardstock and vellum using my D2BA dye ink.

Then added color with my Copic markers. Make sure if you choose to color on vellum to stamp on one side and color the OPPOSITE side! This will keep your markers from picking up the ink. (On non-porous surfaces you have to experiment with this, even inks that sit tight like D2BA Premium Dye Inks will pull up with an alcohol marker and NEVER use StayzOn with Copics if you color on the same surface that ink will ruin your nibs!)

Then I layered a cardstock butterfly and a vellum butterfly on top, with a light fold right at the edge of the body, I also added glossy accents to the body. I am absolutely LOVING the way these little butterflies turned out!

And here is the full card. I used a small piece of patterned paper from the Artzy Doodles set. I think that set might be my all time fave!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check back in for more D2BA inspiration and challenges.

The products used for this card include:

Butterfly Inspiration

D2BA Premium Dye Ink
