One more challenge! i am squeaking in at least one more we’ll see if I can get to any others :-). This challenge was fall with a fancy fold at the Outlawz 1000 member challenge. So I have this cutie image from Tiffany Doodles colored in Copics. (E11, E13, E15, E41, E44, Y23, Y26, B21, YR14, YR15, YR16, YR18). The fold I just learned from one of the DT gals at Outlawz. How cool is this! You can see her example at her blog with some “how too”. Thanks Brenda!

Two more challenges for the ladies at Outlaws. The top card is based on the sketch for the week. The roses are one of my designs that I colored with Copic Markers.

The card below is for the color challenge yellow, orange and red. The flower again is one of my designs colored with Copics.

Copic-Dyed Rolled Fabric Flower (10/4/2011)

Hello all! i have a fun little tutorial on a card I made for one of the Outlawz challenges this week. There will be more coming so stay tuned. Also if you want to see how I died the fabric head over to Get It Scrapped there is a brand new Copic Tutorial over there by me as well!

Step One – you need your fabric and a Gluber yes it is the funest word in my vocabulary right now and I have a hard time not continuing to repeat it as I use it and pound them on my page. (not necessary but fun!)

Step Two – I tore two strips that are about 1 inch wide and 12 inches long. I also cut two leaves out of died fabric.

Step Three – I twisted my long strip and started spiraling it onto my Gluber like a cinnamon roll from the inside out.

Step Four – I had to use both strips to completely cover the Gluber to the edges, mine is a 2 inch Gluber.

Step Five – I attached my torn mulberry paper to my card base, used glue dots to attach the leaves, added the sticker letters to the bottom left and then to finish pounded on my Gluber happily sing-songing the word several times over. (Just ask my friends, yes I really do that!)

Hugs to all!

One last little peek into my newest class and then you will just have to sign up! The sales page of course has several more of the images displayed so you can see a few more here 🙂 I am about at the halfway point of the writing and then on to photographing the art and steps.

On the home front we have been reveling in the beginnings of fall weather here with clear sunny days and temps. in the 70’s and even 50’s at night. Allergies of course are raging but with that kind of weather I am willing to suffer the other! We even went to Applefest today at the Living History Farms. Simple small and the perfect excuse to spend the day together outside.

Girls are good this next week we will add swimming to the after school activities so should be a little more like our normal crazy school days. Lori is all signed up to be a Daisy this year (the youngest level of Girl Scouts) so I think we are set. Swimming, Diving, Gymnastics and Girl Scouts yep I think that sounds like plenty.

Life is sweet!
Hugs all!

Hello Hello! I know I feel like I have not posted anything for ages! and looking at my blog it has been! BUT all for good reason. I have been scrambling to get Copic Coloring 2 together! And it is coming along nicely. I never have as much time and energy as I think I am going to have but it is still coming along. I have all the art work done at this point so i am on phase two which is writing all the classes, including the step by step instructions. Time consuming as well but probably the most important part and what people appreciate the most.

Below there is a sneaky peek at one of the images from the class. There were several requests for an image with water reflections so here is a peek at that image. We are going to tackle some pretty advanced stuff in this class. I am really excited about all the images! I think everyone is going to learn a ton!

As far as family we are all well. The girls are well into there 3rd and first grade years. We were having a few issues at first grade recess but those seem to be resolved so we are leaving the building with smiling faces, YEAH! We just had a great family weekend. Nothing major but several meals out, we all watched Seabiscut on the couch Saturday night and then yesterday we had a perfect day. We started with treats at Panera hit the bike trail and road 11.2 miles, yes all of us, then off to the mall to pick food of your choice with Coldsrone for desert! Does it get any better? How about 70 degrees and clear skies hmmmmm….yep that just about seals the deal, perfection!
