Christmas In July Blog Hop with Michelle Perkett

Today we are celebrating Christmas in July with Michelle Perkett. It was perfect timing for me to get started on some Christmas layouts and pick up Michelle’s new Chrissy the Christmas Spirit Fairy! The image is colored with Copic markers YR30, YR31, Y32, Y35, Y38, R000, R01, R22, R24, R29, R89, G24, G17, G28, E33, E35, E37, B91, B95, B97, C1 and an atyou glitter pen.

I even added color to my letters with the same blue series. I love these Thickers! They are fabric ones and take the Copic ink so well. I “need” to get another set.

Well I hope you are happily hopping away your Saturday! here is the full list so you can continue hopping…

New week, new creations. this week I have another card for Taylored Expressions. This one is based on the Sketch Challenge #143 and is again by the FAB-U-LOUS Lori Craig. The stamp and sentiment are from the Crafty Cuppie set of stamps. the papers are My Minds Eye, Lime Twist the cardstock is Bazzil Swiss Dots, The image is colored with Copic markers with a touch of Glossy accents to pop the cherry, oh and the ribbon is American Crafts, button is The Paper Studio. After taking the photo I re-stamped the sentiment on a new ribbon with different ink that did not bleed so badly so if you are having a hard time reading the blur it says “You’re sew sweet!” I did the cutting myself no dies here just a lot of measuring and a Coluzzle circle cutter that is falling apart.

A the end of this week I will be hopping in a Christmas in July blog hop with the lovely ladies from Michelle Perkett Studio. Here is the info and come hop along this Saturday. BTW Michelle has given out THREE cute freebies this month on her challenge blog hurry over and pick some digital goodness for yourself! Thanks Michelle Perkett!

On the family front swimming is over Woo Hoo! Three practices a week down for a few weeks. We will take the break and say thank you! We are all signed up to try gymnastics this fall. And we will get to hug lots of family next week yeah! We are still melting here so looking forward to some cooler temperatures:-)

Hugs All!

Happy mi-week all! I wanted to share another card I finished up yesterday. This one was created using a stamp by Taylored Expressions and fulfills their Sketch #142 challenge. This particular sketch was designed by my friend Lori Craig so I figured I better get to it! The paper is all Basic Grey’s Sweet Threads line and the Cuppie’s are stamped on Craft paper then colored with Copic markers. The trim is one I found at JoAnn’s and I stamped the saying from the same stamp set as the Cuppie’s “Sweet Celebration”

Thanks ladies for the fun stamps and great sketch.

This week is busy but a huge success. Both girls are doing Art In The Park and then Sara is doing a little drama camp. Both still have swimming and Sara has diving. You can imagine the art and drama are both HUGELY successful.

Hugs all!

Back in the saddle again! Hey I got two cards created at the most amazing evening last night! 6 of my bestest girl friends here in Des Moines and my wonderful friend Brenda (who drove in from MO) joined me for an evening of Copic coloring! I had a wonderful time! Did a little teaching and helping one on one with images both from my on-line class and images they brought to play with. Chatted and laughed a lot and in general had a very special evening! Thank you sooooo much ladies! The cards I completed are a complete side bonus, Oh and I made a note from the tooth fairy that was a little tardy in delivering the goods (oops!) but she made good by leaving a note with Copic colored image of herself and 4 quarters woop woop! Lori was the one waiting patiently for the note she lost her second front tooth and is sporting quite the gap now!

On to the cards here is one with an adorable Michelle Perkett digital image that she gave out free at her site! The card completes this weeks challenge “cute as a button” right up my ally since I am still slightly addicted to buttons 🙂

This second card is from Christy Croll’s collection with Stamping Bella they just started carrying them at Archiver’s so I could not resist! How cute and way to go Stamping Bella for getting on at Archiver’s! Not sure if this card will fit in at Christy’s on-line digital site Tiddly Inks but I sure will see if I can make it fit! He He

We have one last week of swimming two more weeks of diving and then our Oregon trip, one last week of summer than school! Yikes how did that happen!!!!!

Hugs all!

Good day all! I really do not have anything brand new to share scrappy wise but I thought I would share two layouts I did just a couple weeks back. Class started this week on-line so I am busy answering questions and setting up lessons to post. the hard work is done but this part still keeps me pretty occupied. The two layouts are from our Vegas trip last fall where I got to meet some of the most amazing women that I have known on-line for about 3 years. We had an amazing time, did a little teaching a little learning and a whole ton of laughing. The Copic images that are on the layouts are both from A Day For Daisies. The top layout has a photo of me taken by Amy and my friend Tami showing us her best :-). Below is Celia and then the group at dinner.

The girls and I have been good this week. Y-fun club in the mornings for the girls. Very fun and so easy since it is at the Y. Tuesday the girls swam in their very first swim meet. For their first they did extremely well! Not sure if we won anything yet but they had fun and swam hard. We were super duper proud of them! Other than that swim and dive practices are filling our days so we are moving right along!

Hugs all!
