INKY FINGERS!! Yes this is a photo of my thumb which I am displaying proudly as my proof of completing the latest Copic class! Dare I say prize? I have to tell you that this class was amazing!! I loved every minute and I am so glad that Copic let Colleen and Bianca give it a go. I think they are on to something that has HUGE potential and possibilities. I am busy catching up and prepping for my Copic class starting next week but my head is spinning with ideas and insperation and a need to get messy!

This is a small accordion book I completed with Bianca. We colored 5v pieces of silk in different ways using Copic the top is a faux batik which I will be using OVER AND OVER! Love it and I want he whole book she has a breathtaking mini book coated in fabric and ribbon and just plain yum!

This pile – O – Tags is from the first portion of the day and we explored 10 different ways to start adding Copic to our mixed media and crafting projects. i will be sharing a few in more detail over at Get It Scrapped so stay tuned you will want to see these close up!

Lastly is our canvas, Colleen led us on this project and I loved the mix of think about this, try this and just go to it! The photo does not show off my “story” very well but the idea we were trying to fly with was taking a singular photo and going with it showing it through all the layers and all the textures and colors. By the way my story if you are curious is growing roots 🙂 John’s first question was where is the Copic? Good question so glad you asked! The bottom layer has my “story written or at least brainstormed in Copic marker, next layer up is a collage of 1 photo, magazines and tissue (which was crumpled with copic ink dropped on it) pieces of this layer were airbrushed with Copic. The sky and land are modeling paste died with Copic Ink and the photo has been drawn on with Copic, painted over with acrylic died with Copic and airbrushed with Copic. So is Copic in there, oh yeah baby!

On the family note the girls and John had an equally amazing day at the Children’s Museum. They dressed up as dinosaurs, created fashion for Barbie, and climbed a rock wall. We had a delicious meal at Rock Bottom (we were surrounded by good food and shopping) We could definitely do a trip back to Indianapolis!

More to come later this week 🙂

Hugs all!

Challenges Challenges!

I am trying to get a few posted before I take off on an adventure! I am going to take a Copic class all about using your Copics and Copic ink in mixed media art. So excited! I am sure I will have a lot to share after tomorrow! In the mean time here are two challenges for two of my favorite digi stamp sites!

First here is my unfinished layout for Tiddly Inks. The title is going to be Dancing Divas (the theme was Divas over at Tiddly Inks) and the photos should arrive in my mailbox tomorrow 🙂

Here is a close up of my “Sugar Plum Fairy” colored of course with Copics. She has stickles added to her wings, a Sdtardust pen on her tutu and sand colored atyou Spica pen on her crown.

Here is the next layout created for a bingo game over at Michelle Perkett Studio. This is where I yell BLACKOUT! Yep got all 9 things on my layout; lace, ribbon, glitter, pearls, 2 backing papers, brads, die cut (the circle ring the title sits on), scallops, and the mermaid is wearing flowers in her hair! Woo Hoo

Here is a close up of the image. Hard to see but the glitter is in her hair, very subtle.

I best be off hugs all!

One more “cuppie” for another b-day friend that I just found out about. I decided to use the fun sketch over at Taylored Expressions for this one and fulfill their challenge while I was at it.

We are spending a quiet Memorial day today. The girls swam with Dad this morning and I got groceries done. We all had hot dogs and homemade fries for lunch then dad and I hit the couch for a nap. yeah! Tonight might have to be an ice cream night 🙂

Hugs all!
