2011 Starting off right!

Well here we are starting off another year. I am not sure how this one can top 2010 but I am sure excited to see all the new adventures. I am completing a year long challenge at Get It Scrapped with this layout. We completed one layout each month that summed up the month. kind of like a month in review. I am thinking about continuing the challenge myself it was so much fun and just using the sketches at Get It Scrapped.

I was also working on this weeks color challenge over at iCopic. The three colors were red, cream and brown. I drew the 2011 and filled it in with my Copics. If you are interested in having your own page of 2011 and 2010 to color I will have a tutorial ready at Get It Scrapped in the next week or so.
As for all of us here in Iowa we are right back up to our eyeballs in activities. Sara and Lori are trying Wavemakers this session which is a pre-team swim group. Woosh lots of swimming but they both did great their first night. Sara is back to diving and is the strongest in her level 1 group. I love watching her and how hard she tries to listen to ever little detail and correction she is given, she is an amazing little sponge! It feels like an Iowa winter at least for a couple days as we have had bitter cold for a couple days again. The season has been so mild though that it is hard to complain! Signing off for now.

Hugs to all!

Copic Color

This image is not from the class I just took but it is using some of the skills I learned over the weekend. This little stamped image is part of a local store’s Copic challenge. Pretty sweet deal you color the image and just by entering get a marker at 1/2 price. Good deal if you are a collector. Then there will be judging by shoppers in the store and a few prizes awarded. I am not counting on a prize BUT I am thrilled how the image turned out! The major goal for this week is finishing my online class that will be going live November 8th at Get It Scrapped.

Also I have a new tutorial going up at Get It Scrapped as well. It is a simple one but fun for the season, a little pumpkin.

Knowing Debbie it will be up in a few days. Happy Halloween everyone! I’ll make sure to get some shots of my Peacock and Bat up next 🙂

Monkey Fun

So here is the latest Copic creation! I am adding one more tutorial over at GIS for those that are interested and stay tuned for a full class of Copic goodness in the fall. Lori in particular loves this little guy, hmm imagine that!

The girls have had their second round of swimming this week and lots of running around with Mom trying to escape the heat. Today is considerably better so hopefully we will get to make a couple loops on the bikes tonight. We saw a movie at the library with friends yesterday, can’t beat Finding Nemo and free popcorn! Today we got to steal Dad from work and eat lunch together and are doing a little quiet time.

Hope all is well out there with family and friends!

Happy Fourth of July in advance!

Happy fourth to all. I created this card for a dear friend who happens to have a b-day on the 4th. If she pops by she’ll spoil her surprise BUT isn’t it always nice to have real mail? The directions and printables for the stars will be up at Get It Scrapped in the next week or so and I was too excited not to share. Loving all the fun possibilities with these markers!

Hope all have an amazing fourth!

Here He Is

Well here he is. This is Izzy. One of my latest Copic designs. He was hiding in the card seen below. Vacation and finishing up a title font class got me off track so I am scrambling to get him ready to be posted on Get It Scrapped with directions. Hopefully later this week he will get all done.

So on other family news we are very well. Vacation was wonderful! Time with Mom and Dad is always welcome. We had lots of fun mini adventures and just enough down time and ice cream to put smiles on all of our faces. Since we have been back we have started dance camp, I had my first crown prepped and will return for the permanent in a few weeks, I mowed the lawn, three loads of laundry, yadda, yadda, yadda, we had a four hour play date that was turned into a Rat Party cupcakes, rat puppets and all (stuffed rat friends), and I am sure I will not survive if the entire summer is run at this pace 🙂

All is well as we roast in the humidity.
Hugs!
