Little Bird from Dare 2B Artzy

Hello all you Dare 2B Artzy fans! How about a little inspiration to start your day.

I used one of the little birds from the Be Yourself stamp set and today I worked on watercolor paper. I know that usually you would hear no Copics on Watercolor, but it is beautiful! It blends easily on Watercolor since it is so soft, the trick, or what you need to know is that watercolor paper is VERY absorbent. It will use more ink than you normally would use on smooth cardstock. It is worth it to me so I still use it every once and a while.

Here is a closer look.

When you have a chance make sure to create a card for this months D2BA challenge!

The stamp set that I used for this card is: Be Yourself

Take a look at today’s peeks for Day 1! Off to the beach we go! this adorable beach goer is one of 3 new stamps she has these cool glasses that she can wear hold or skip, It was fun seeing how all the DT members used them. Her swim suit also works as a one piece OR a bikini!

Did you know you can use stencils to create embossed patterns on your paper? My good friend Amanda showed me how to use a silicon matte with a die cut machine to use my stencils for embossing! Hard to see in my photo but the Kraft cardstock has these cool bubbles all over the base!

Stay tuned the next two days for more great offerings from Stamp AnnieThing this month!

And make sure to check out all the Design Team members work, I Love the variety this team comes up with!

Fly Away Butterfly!

Good morning!  Bringing a little Dare 2B Artzy inspiration to you this fine spring day! Do not miss this months challenge for a chance to win some D2BA goodness!

I have a fun card for you today created using the Butterfly Inspiration stamp set. I stamped onto both cardstock and vellum using my D2BA dye ink.

Then added color with my Copic markers. Make sure if you choose to color on vellum to stamp on one side and color the OPPOSITE side! This will keep your markers from picking up the ink. (On non-porous surfaces you have to experiment with this, even inks that sit tight like D2BA Premium Dye Inks will pull up with an alcohol marker and NEVER use StayzOn with Copics if you color on the same surface that ink will ruin your nibs!)

Then I layered a cardstock butterfly and a vellum butterfly on top, with a light fold right at the edge of the body, I also added glossy accents to the body. I am absolutely LOVING the way these little butterflies turned out!

And here is the full card. I used a small piece of patterned paper from the Artzy Doodles set. I think that set might be my all time fave!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check back in for more D2BA inspiration and challenges.

The products used for this card include:

Butterfly Inspiration

D2BA Premium Dye Ink

New Copic College Added to the 2018 Schedule

Some of you might have seen on Facebook earlier in the week that I have added an additional Copic College weekend to the 2108 schedule. After the success of the first weekend of classes I was invited to run Copic College at The Paper Forest Scrapbook Boutique in Washington, IL. I will be sending out news letters to the surrounding areas shortly, but for those of you that are regulars on one of my sites registration is open and ready for students. As always never hesitate to shoot me a question or concern. I am always willing to try and make it work!

The scheduled date for Copic College in Washington, IL is October 5-7.

Thank you so much to The Paper Forest Scrapbook Boutique for helping me add this to my calendar!

Strawberry Copic Card Swap

I love coloring, I know that comes as a shock to those of you who have followed for a while, but I do! When Ann at Stamp Anniething decided to try a member card swap I jumped at the chance to share a card with a new crafty friend and receive one in return! Then I joined the Stamp AnnieThing team so I decided I better kill two birds with one stone or I would fall behind quickly.

To add to that I have ended up injuring myself and I am one arm down, yes it is my right and I am right handed. Now I can place it on my desk and type and even color but card creating is a slow and not so easy process at the moment so I am trying to craft smart with all my video tutorials and design team projects!

I drew DeAnn from Washington state and then we all got an adorable digital stamp to create our card with. Here she is all colored up with my Copic Colors:

To triple up on my assignments it is also a theme week and we are talking arrows this week! Handy that one of the new releases for the month of May is this Builders Chevron Die set, arrows check!

Then I layered my image and papers with arrows onto a card, as I was reaching for my adhesive I even spied this paper clip that has been lying in wait for the perfect project more then a little while! So perfect, I love it when a project comes together!

So this little cutie immediately got tucked into an envelope and mailed to Washington! I hope DeAnn likes her! If Stamp AnnieThing decides to have another swap you should jump in! So much fun to create with a new friend in mind AND get beautiful happy mail in your mail box!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!
