Copic ABS, D2BA Stencil and Sentiment

Hello friends and family! I am hoping you are having a marvelous Monday and bringing you a little creative inspiration to start your week off.

I am pulling out my Copic Airbrush System this week along with a Dare 2B Artzy Sunburst Stencil and sentiment from the Jesus Is My Anchor stamp set to create a simple card front with high impact.

I first used my Copic Markers and ABS to create two blues backgrounds. For this I used the D2BA Sunburst stencil, first laying down a light blue block straight onto the paper then using the stencil and a darker blue to create intense color. For the second background I set the stencil, now covered in ink spray, onto a fresh white sheet of cardstock, dampened a rag with Colorless Blender solution and wiped the excess ink from the stencil onto the cardstock. I have done this technique multiple times and love the brushed effect it achieves.

You will see the top background in a card a share later. For the card today I use the background with the lighter brushed ink. I added a sentiment from the Jesus Is My Anchor stamp set and the seagulls are a small stamp from the Anchors Away stamp set just stamped multiple times.

I added trim and an anchor charm, layered white cardstock, patterned paper and a white card base to finish this simple card. I am really loving the bold blue and white. It has such high visual impact.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you continue to check in on the D2BA blog for new inspiration and ideas!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Swing into Spring with Stamp AnnieThing and Copic

Hi friends, Copic fans and family! Sharing a little mid-week inspiration from Stamp AnnieThing in the form of a challenging Copic no-line image. I also want to encourage you to enter this month’s themed challenge over on the Stamp AnnieThing Facebook page.

This month’s theme is Twine. Did you know that SAT is now carrying twine? It has been showing up in our grab and go boxes and I am kinnda excited about it as I have ALWAYS loved a good piece of twine or fibers to finish off any crafty project.

I used the Lucille – Roarin’ Fun and aimed for a no-line coloring rendition with my Copic Markers.

Here is how she turned out!

Yo might like to see colse ups of the dress and a bit of the hair and feather as well, I am pretty pleased how those came out.

Then of course she needs to Lindy hop her way onto a card so I used papers and twines from the last Grab and Go box, the glitter and mirror cardstock as well as the silver twine are just perfect. I also used the “fantastic” die cut. The only thing I added from my old stash is the fringy red twine, I just could not resist!

It was hard to show the metallic silver cardstock and the shimmering white glitter cardstock without me getting reflected in the image, but trust me she is shinning!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, make sure to continue watching all the fun uses for twine this week and then get your entry in the album over on our FB page!

Sweet Dreams- Copic no-line

Hello Stamp AnnieThing fans, Michelle Houghton here for a little mid-weeks inspiration.

There is a new theme week this week, we are challenging you to use some of the beautiful adornments now found at SAT!

I am challenging myself with a little no-line coloring as well on Holly – Sweet Dreams

I chose to use some of the adornments from one of our Grab and Go boxes and I used them as part of the background versus in a shaker card. It took a little time to dot glue and place the small glitter and sequins, but I like the end effect.

Here is a couple close ups so you can see both the coloring and the sequin backdrop. I just love those fuzzy bunny slippers.

To top it off here is a link for the video of the no-line coloring!

Thank you so much for stopping in today.
