In The Blue

Hi friends and family! Here to share a little SAT inspiration for your mid-week entertainment. I decided to take another run at this month’s release. (With all the beautiful new Stamp Anniething goodies out thee it is hard to remember what actually came out at the start of the month!) Back to Egypt we go!

I love all three of the new images this month as well as the fab-U-lous Grab and Go Box so I know I will be coloring up a lot of these images multiple times. One of the ways I entertain myself when coloring multiple times is to switch up the colors. If I am trying to improve technique or skills I stay exactly the same for multiple attempts at an image, but when I am coloring just to color or play I love pushing to find new colors combos for an image.

With my first round of coloring the Egyptian themed stamps this month I kept the color schemes very traditional looking up photo references on line so in coming back to the images I decided to start with the  Cleopatra image and go all blues to see what I would get. Even her kitty made a drastic change from a black cat originally to a barely there blue kitty.

Copics of course:

 Skin – R000, R01, R12, E93, E04, BV00 Hair – B41, B45, B37, B39 Dress – B93, B95, B97, B99 Copper – YR14, YR18, E09, B02 Cat – B0000, B02 and Colorless Blender

Then I created an inky background using Copic Various Inks and Yupo paper:

And layered it all together:

So fun! I know I will come back to these images and challenge myself with all sorts of different color combinations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure to stay tuned for more inspiration and get an entry in for this month’s Theme Challenge!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!!

I have two cards to share today! Here is a peek at the first. I used LOTS of supplies from the box so here is a rundown of the process.
First was creating a background with one of the stencils in the box, I used 2 Copic and my Copic Air Brush to get the look.
Next stamping and coloring an image here is the colors I used on this one!
I do not know the characters very well, but waffles? OH YEAH!! How fun is this and the sentiments throughout the entire box are SO FUN!!
Then off to raid the Grab and Go box to pull it all together. I used a card base, all three kinds of adhesive, (glue not pictured), the Cardstock pack wait till you see the burlap and the cork, SWOON, and the adorable string of lights.
Other than my Copics it is all in the box!
Card #2 required a little research on my part on the characters and on Stranger Things and boy am I missing out! Now I want to watch all three seasons!
I created the background by airbrushing a full sheet of Yupo (that you can get at SAT) then using the second new stencil in the box and Copic Colorless Blender solution to lift the pattern this time.
Coloring is next I tried to get close to the character at least from shots that I could find on-line. But I know this little guy could go completely different for fun as well!
Starting to build it is next I started with the card base, the cork from the cardstock collection and my inky background then…
I added a square of burlap, I pulled the backing off and frayed the edges for this one, some individual lights that I cut off the string and enamel dots for color and used one of the FAB sentiments and colored a burlap like texture over it with my Copics and my little guy, upside down of course! I used all three adhesives for this card again!

Woosh if you made it this far thank you! Make sure to check out the other designers with their amazing creations!

I also used a black Copic Multiliner for to add back in the pupils, eyelashes and mouth.

The patterned papers I used are from Stamp AnnieThing and the acrylic dots are as well!

July Stamp AnnieThing Release Day #3

Let's go back into history with this release!  Here is to the Great Pyramids, Rulers and Gods!
Anubis- the god of  embalming and death. They were believed to watch over the dead in the afterlife.

I stuck with a fairly traditional palette again and the same Copics from my day #1 photo to color up my image.

I can’t decide which is my favorite, but this guy is pretty darn cool! I also used the pyramid die again and a charm from this month’s release. then pulled out twine from Stamp AnnieThing as well.

Hope you have enjoyed all the new release goodies. I adore this release, you will be seeing more from me in the near future possible in some unique color combinations.

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

July Stamp AnnieThing Release Day #2

Let's go back into history with this release!  Here is to the Great Pyramids, Rulers and Gods!
Every Queen deserves a Pharaoh!  Here is our super cute ruler in headdress!

Does it get any cuter? Probably, but I am enamored with this month’s release! I colored up the Pharaoh with my Copic markers.

Then I used the new pyramid die to create a shaker. I am pretty proud of myself for figuring out how to piece it together! Always a challenge for me ha ha!

Here are a couple close ups of the card from other angles as well. The yellow glitter cardstock, red metallic cardstock, the camel charm (minus the loop I snipped with wire cutters), “amazing” die and all the shaker elements are from the Stamp AnnieThing site!

Thank you so much fro stopping in today! One more day of the July release and all will be available tomorrow!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!
