Happy July! I am doing some major Copic coloring on the card I am sharing today. I am using all 4 of the little houses in the new No Place like Home stamp set that I created. I also used two of the trees and the little birdhouse. I stamped them all in light pink ink which allowed me to forget the masking. I just stamped the pieces right on top of each other knowing that the coloring would make the lines disappear! One note make sure that the objects that are in front or closer to the viewer are sitting lower on your card front. So for example watch where the bases of my trees sit in comparison to the bottom edge of the houses.

With so many pieces, there are a lot of Copic colors that I used. You can ABSOLUTELY simplify and use fewer markers!

I took a few photos of the coloring so you can get a closer look. This is all no line coloring. If you choose to use black ink you will need to either plan on fussy cutting and layering your pieces, or doing some masking for the overlapping.

Here is the full street, I added the little driveways and walkways to finish the scene along with adding the sky and grass.

With so much coloring there is very little need for a lot of add ons. I used a piece of Kraft cardstock to base the card front and frame it then layered that on a fun patterned paper. I added a few acrylic dots and called it finished!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope those of you getting some summer days in are enjoying some time off or at least a few extra moments with friends and family. The Kraftin’ Kimmie team has more to share over the next few days so keep a watch out and be ready for shopping this weekend.

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Happy kraftin’!

I thought I would share two cards I created with this month’s mini add on stamp! I did the cards almost identical just changed a standard black line ink to a little no-line coloring.

Here are the Copic colors that I used on both images.
I love both and it is striking how different the two images look just by getting rid of the black lines!
Here is a close up of the coloring on the squirrel with the standard black ink lines. He is pretty darn cute!
Here is a close up of the no-line coloring

Well what do you think? This is actually a pretty good image to try some no-line coloring on. Nice and open, just enough detail and not too much. Do one small section at a time so you don’t loose internal lines as you color. Hope you have some time to do a little coloring this week no matter the style you do it in! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

Day 4 of the April Kraftin’ Kimmie Release Peeks!

Today is our fourth day of Krafty Peeks for the April Release

 at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

Today we are sharing a fabulous set from
artist
Allison Cope and it’s called…..

SPRING SCENERY!!

Just imagine all the gorgeous ways you’ll be using this beautiful stamp set! These accessory stamps will compliment so many other sets and create beautiful spring garden scenes. The fence stamp is drawn in a way that makes it easy to extend in either direction, you have a fabulous bird bath and there are even tiny blossom stamps that stamp over the tree branch creating instant spring blooms!

Check out SPRING SCENERY in so many amazing creations today as you hop around the Krafty Team’s blogs!  You’ll also see the new stencils and hybrid ink along the way!  Be sure to leave some love at each stop on the hop because I’ll be giving away some krafty $$ to the shop!

You’ll see more of our April goodies tomorrow and then everything will be released after our LIVE Online Release Party on Saturday afternoon at 2pm ET in the Krafty Friends facebook group!

For now, check out all the Spring goodness in today’s hop!

I have the first of two cards to share today using Allison’s beautiful spring scenery set. I decided to keep it simple and just use a couple of the flower groupings. I love the delicate tulips and tulips are so fun because they come in SO MANY color variations! Here is a peak at the Copics I used first:

The flower uses the RVs, Vs, R and the YGs. The earth tones, BG and Gs are for the background. Here is a closer look at the coloring:

Next Wednesday I attempt the daffodils and I have it all recorded. So you can see the the full process and my mistakes and reworks. But first here is the completed card for this pretty image. I used the glitter paper from this month’s add on kit and layered a few patterned papers and vellum for my clean and simple card.

Thank you for stopping by! Check out the rest of the inspiration through the link below! Remember to keep watching Kraftin’ Kimmie this weekend for the release and celebration.
