Had such a fun time playing with this new image from Ann Corbiere Scott Designs. This one is named after Ann! “Ann Marie” Here is a peek at all the colors I used then I will share a little of the process.
First I used the full rainbow of colors on the paint pans. I used one color in each, let them dry then added a second layer with just scribbles to add a little texture, I finished them with a little Colorless Blender to push the texture a little more.
I then used each of the colors to splatter ink over each of the pans. Do you remember how you flicked paint with a paint brush or tooth brush on a painting? I did the same thing, I flicked the brush end of my Copic against a folded piece of cardstock toward the art work. I also let the marker tip bump against the paper a few times.
I then used the grays to color the brush handle and the crimped metal. I also used the light grays to create the cast shadows around the watercolor pans and paint brush. The earth tones were used on the bristles.
I love a good play day with my markers and flicking ink all over certainly fit the bill! I built the “paint tray” up with stacked cardstock and put the whole thing on a slimline card base.
Thanks so much for stopping in to my little creative world. I am hoping everyone is staying healthy and happy and finding time to recharge these days!
Happy Monday to you. Bringing you some beauty to brighten the start of your day. Ann Corbiere-Scott continues to design stunning art that is just asking you to pull out your favorite mediums and get colorful.
This particular image is a newer addition to her shop. This one is called Grandma Chickie.
Copics were what jumped out of my bag for this one, but I am planning on widening my bag of tricks this year so keep watching for some color play time!
Not a lot to share today, just a smile! Thanks for stopping by!

Managed to keep the marker count down ha ha! Copics of course With fun textures on the hat and beard.
Then I played with some patterned paper to create the card! Fun patterned papers for the ground and trees. So easy and quick. You could use stencils or die cuts to create a similar look!

I colored up this sweet girl! Copic colors of course.
I kept it simple background wise a cloud filled sky and grassy hill. And I found two fun patterned papers and a little lace and twine to tie it all together.
I was so torn between all three of the images in this set tough! I know I will be using the other two shortly.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be sharing more of the January release Saturday, Sunday and next Wednesday on Instagram. The link below will get you hooked up with the other Design Team members sharing their creativity today!
There are SO MANY snowman images out there! And I love them all. Let’s take a peek at one today and I will walk you through how I use Copics to color him up. The beauty is these steps can bee used on all your snow buddies! Let’s get coloring.
Use a light blue violet to flick from the edge of the snowman inward. (BV20)
Starting from the white area, use the Colorless Blender to flick into the blue violet to soften the edge. (0)
To deepen the shadows use a darker blue violet to dab in color at the bottom edge. (BV23)
Soften with the lighter blue violet. (BV20)
If needed use the Colorless Blender to fade the edge again. (0)
Use two yellow reds to color the carrot nose. (YR24, YR21)
Use a dark gray to color the coal. (C7)
Color every other stripe on the scarf, the bottom edge and pom-pom on the hat with two greens. (G46, G43)
Use two reds on the opposite stripes and the rest of the hat. (R39, R35)
As an optional step, use the Colorless Blender on the coal to add dimension. (0)
Use a light blue green or blue to color the sky. (BG000)
Use the light blue violet and Colorless Blender to dot in a snowy ground for your snow buddy. (BV20, 0)
Finish your card with simple patterned paper layers, a wonderful sentiment and maybe a bow of twine. Thank you for visiting Copic In the Craft Room today! Below you will find links to the Rubbernecker Stamp products used in this post.
